The Franciscans on 31st Street host a morning of prayer for priests quarterly.  I have been to it and have found it very uplifting.  You get off the train at Penn Station and only walk a couple of blocks.  I highly recommend it to all our priests

 The Cardinal Bernardin Series for the Clergy

On Tuesday, December 10,    Father Jack Martin will speak on the spirituality of Justice and Peace based of his experience of living and ministering in Salvador during their civil war.

 

On Tuesday, March 18,  Father Michael Calabria, O.F.M., a scholar of Islam, will speak about local communities and neighborhoods where Muslims and Catholics live together.  He will offer some strategies for understanding and peace.

Each Tuesday program, held in San Damiano Hall on West 31st Street, begins with 10:30 a.m. prayer, followed immediately by introductions and the speaker’s presentation.  The speaker begins about 10:45 a.m.   They serve a very nice lunch around noon.
