Psychology of Recovery: Anticipating The Challenges For Young People After The Pandemic
“The identification of and intervention for anxiety and depression in youth, especially in this time of pandemic lockdown and reopening.” Topics will include: Recognizing the signs of anxiety and grief in youth and preparing to welcome them back and ministering to them in light of where they might be and what they may have endured as far as loss in its many forms. How do you identify the differences between normal and abnormal depression or anxiety? What are the warning signs to look for in youth? How has the pandemic contributed to existing issues, and how do we help youth transition back to normal routines? Presenter Carolyn M Yeager, Ph.D, associate professor, St. Joseph’s Seminary.
