Chaminade High School in Mineola recently held a Sodality Opening Prayer Service. Over 600 members of the Sodality of Our Lady of the Pillar gathered in Darby Auditorium. Above: Jack Rogers ’16, Christopher McDonald ’16 and Liam Morse ’18 lead the procession from the auditorium to the Chapel.

The celebrant for the prayer service was Father Garrett Long, S.M.

16_sodality_0084Over 50 members of the Glee Club led the congregation in song. Brandon Teixeira ’16 read from St. Paul’s letter to the Corinthians. The service continued with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and ended with a Eucharistic Procession to the Chapel. Five students played “Amazing Grace” and “Ave Maria” on the bagpipes during the procession. The Blessed Sacrament remained in the Chapel all afternoon for Adoration.
