Maria Regina remembers 9/11 with good works

On September 11, Maria Regina School in Seaford honored the victims and families of the 2001 terrorist attacks in a productive and positive way.  In addition to attending Mass or classroom prayer services, the students participated in a special dress-down day. For the privilege of wearing red, white and blue instead of their usual school uniforms, they made a contribution to The New York Says Thank You Foundation.
Many people from all over the United States came to help in New York after the tragedy of 9/11, and the foundation was formed to commemorate that kindness. On, or around, the anniversary of 9/11 each year this group sends volunteers from New York City to help rebuild communities around the United States affected by natural or man-made disasters. One of those volunteers is John Millett, whose mother teaches at Maria Regina.
