More than 600 participants from the New York metropolitan area and beyond gathered for a four-day revival/retreat for Catholics of Nigerian descent held at St. Thomas the Apostle Chapel in West Hempstead. Mass was celebrated on July 21 to cap the event which allowed 600 participants to renew their spiritual lives while celebrating their faith, culture and ancestry. Father Emmanuel Obimma, a priest from the Archdiocese of Onitsha, Nigeria, was the celebrant and homilist for the Mass.
