Women from the diocese joined to pray and learn at the second annual Long Island Catholic Women’s Conference, “Women of Faith,” on October 19th at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington.
Speakers included Father Michael Duffy, associate pastor at St. Kilian; Laurie Whitfield, director of the diocesan office of parish stewardship; Laura Giannuzzi, teacher and campus minister at St. Anthony’s H.S., and Rosemary Sullivan, executive director of the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors.
Woods Worship provided music for the day, which also included Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, a rosary walk in the garden and an exhibit area. Danielle LaRose, coordinator of parish social ministry at St. Rose of Lima, Massapequa, was honored with the St. Gianna Berreta Molla Award.
