40 Days for Life campaign comes to Nassau, Suffolk, this Lent

40 Days for Life is an internationally coordinated campaign that aims to end abortion locally through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and peaceful all-day vigils in front of abortion businesses.
In the Diocese of Rockville Centre, vigils will be held at Planned Parenthood centers in Smithtown and Hempstead.

On Saturday, February 22nd, a kick-off Mass was celebrated at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, 8 Richardson Place, Hempstead, at 9 a.m. Following Mass there will be a pro-life talk by Robert and Kristi Koller and a Pro Bikers for Life video presentation.

On Sunday, February 23rd a kick-off Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 280 East Main Street, Smithtown, at 5 p.m., followed by fellowship in Canning Hall.
