Chaminade High School held a Marian Prayer Service on Monday, May 20, in Darby Auditorium. About 600 members of the Sodality of Our Lady of the Pillar and the sophomore and junior divisions gathered in the auditorium, while the remainder of the student body participated from their classrooms via a live video feed. The prayer service is held annually to give special honor to Our Lady during the month of May.

The celebrant for the prayer service was Father Garrett Long, S.M. Over 40 members of the Glee Club, as well as two members of the Bagpipe Band, led the congregation in song. Many other students and faculty participated in the procession, by reading prayers of the faithful, or by reading part of a Litany to Mary. The litany invoked Mary under many titles, most of them related to the names of Long Island parishes.
