Founded in 1883, St. Patrick is one of five parishes in the diocese named for the patron of Ireland. (The others are located in Glen Cove, Huntington, Smithtown and Southold.) Construction of the Byzantine and Romanesque-style church began 100 years ago and was completed in 1919.
