In addition to their coursework, members of Stony Brook University’s Catholic Campus Ministry(CCM), above, have been busy serving the wider Long Island community this fall.

On Saturday, September 12, 24 members of Catholic Campus Ministry volunteered at Bethel Hobbs Community Farm in Centereach.  They harvested eggplant and pulled cornstalks; weeded, seeded, and completed various chores needed to winterize the farm.  The fresh produce harvested from the farm supplies 11 local food pantries and soup kitchens to feed those in need.

On October 4, CCM volunteers visited Little Flower Children and Family Services in Wading River, below,  and spent the day painting Halloween sun catchers and playing basketball with the young residents.
